Join the Gyppo Ale Mill and 7 other breweries (and counting!) for the first ever Lost Coast Fresh Hop Festival in beautiful Shelter Cove, California on October 12, 2019. We’ll have a line up of half a dozen breweries that will be showcasing their Fresh Hop style beverage. Add a collection of food vendors, craft vendors and live music in our expanded beer garden for a day of memory making at California’s most remote brewery.
The Fresh Hop style of beers is a true brewed seasonal way of making beer. By adding fresh, straight-out-of-the-field hop cones to a brew, a more unique, floral, grassy flavor can be imparted to any style of beer. Come try a wide selection of variations on this simple theme and experience the freshness first hand! Gyppo's Head Brewer, Jared Smith, will be at Indie Hops on harvest day, gathering fresh Strata hops and delivering to the participating breweries THE SAME DAY so as to maximize their effect. The Lost Coast Fresh Hop Fest will be a chance for us all to come together and celebrate what we love not only about craft beverages, but the bounty of the summer growing season and all that it provides us.

Gyppo always aims to stay connected to the community and giving back when needed, and Healy Senior Center is in major need. Gyppo is donating all profits raised from the Lost Coast Fresh Hop Fest to Healy Senior Center. Healy Senior Center has been operating for forty years, delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors who are disabled and unable to leave their homes, holding lunches, bingo and other events for local seniors and community members. The decline in the economy has hit Healy Senior Center hard and the threat of closure due to low funds has become a reality. The Gyppo’s family spirit and generosity extends from the young to the young at heart.
Come drinks some fresh hop beverages and support our local community!
