LIBATIONS & CREATIONS :: Artistic Symposium of Vanessa Kay

  • Gyppo Ale Mill 1661 Upper Pacific Drive Whitethorn, CA (map)

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday Celebration we invite we you to join us for a an artistic expression of 13 years of travel to indigenous cultures through Vanessa Kay’s watercolor visions. Follow from her early beginnings of her own indigenous family, the Hopi. From there to the Amazon Rain Forest of Peru to Guatemala in Central America and North America all the way to Vancouver Island of Canada! As a respected plant medicine runner, a “Chaske” (The Unstoppable Messenger) Venessa, became known to many important tribes, Tribal Elders, & Wisdom Keepers for bringing medicines & plants of ‘food grade level’ through the “old ways” (not recreational journey medicines). Working among traditional healers she was trained in some of the traditional healing ways of the Hopi, the Lakota and even some ‘limpeazas’ of Central America. Storytelling, Ethnobotany, Native American shamanism, South American herbalism and more may be revealed through the watercolor journeys of the artist, Venessa Kay.
